Job Description
I’m supporting a confidential offshore project in Qatar with the appointment of two experienced Chief Engineers for a DP2 jack-up / liftboat assignment on a 28/28 rotation.
The requirement is specific and I’m keen to speak with candidates who have a genuine background on DP2 jack-up barges, liftboats or comparable self-elevating units.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
• STCW A-III/2 Chief Engineer certification
• 5+ years’ experience in rank
• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on DP2 jack-up / liftboat units
• Strong OEM DP maintenance knowledge and experience
• Good technical exposure across power generation, propulsion, thrusters and DP-critical machinery
• Experience with jacking systems and self-elevating offshore units
• Flexibility to support additional commissioning activity during the project
This is not a general marine Chief Engineer search. The relevant DP2 jack-up / liftboat background is essential, and candidates with experience limited to conventional merchant vessels, PSV, AHTS or other DP vessel types are unlikely to meet the brief.
The project offers a well-structured rotational assignment in Qatar with a strong international offshore operator and a technically demanding scope.
