Urgent Opening for Senior Accountant | Oil & Gas Sector

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a leading company in the oil and gas industry.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Higher education degree in Finance or Accounting;
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience within the petroleum/oil & gas industry;
• Practical experience working with SAP (or other ERP systems);
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes;
• Experience in Intercompany Reconciliation;
• Experience with accruals, month-end and year-end closing activities;
• Experience in Fixed Assets accounting, capitalization, and asset control;
• Experience working with internal and external auditors;
• Proficient in MS Office applications;
• Knowledge of the Labor Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be considered an advantage;
• English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
Key Responsibilities:
• Verification, posting, and analysis of accounting transactions and reports;
• Reconciliation of accounts with vendors and customers;
• Monitoring and control of customer and supplier accounts;
• Cost and revenue accounting;
• Fixed assets accounting and capitalization;
• Preparation of financial reporting data;
• Participation in month-end and year-end closing processes;
• Liaison with internal and external auditors.
