Industry: Oil & Energy / Oil & Gas / Offshore (FPSO)
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Asset Integrity Engineer (Static) to join our engineering team in Mumbai. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the long-term safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of static equipment across our fleet of assets, with a primary focus on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units and offshore installations.
You will be responsible for developing Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs, managing degradation mechanisms, and providing technical support to offshore operations to minimize downtime and prevent containment loss.
Key Responsibilities
Integrity Management: Develop, review, and implement Asset Integrity Management Systems (AIMS) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs for all static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks, and structural elements).
Anomalies & Repairs: Evaluate inspection findings, identify degradation mechanisms (e.g., corrosion under insulation, fatigue, erosion), and issue clear, actionable repair and mitigation recommendations in accordance with international codes.
Operational Support: Provide engineering support to offshore operations, including fitness-for-service (FFS) assessments, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for static equipment failures, and management of change (MOC) reviews.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure all static assets comply with relevant industry standards, class society rules (e.g., DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register), and local statutory regulations.
Turnaround & Strategy: Support the planning and execution of shutdown and major turnaround inspection scopes, ensuring optimal resource allocation and safety compliance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with third-party inspection agencies, class surveyors, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth data integration into the asset management system.
Required Experience & Technical Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
Experience: 6 to 12 years of core asset integrity experience within the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 3+ years directly supporting FPSO or offshore topsides static equipment.
Codes & Standards: Strong working knowledge of API codes (API 510, 570, 653, 579, 580/581) and ASME/ANSI standards.
Certifications (Preferred): Valid certifications in API 510 (Pressure Vessel Inspector), API 570 (Piping Inspector), or NACE/AMPP corrosion backgrounds are highly advantageous.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with RBI software (e.g., API-BI, Credo, Visions, or equivalent AIM databases).
