QUALITY INSPECTORS

(Welding & Machine Shop Inspection)

Work Location: Qatar
Estimated Start Date: August-2026
Contract Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Rotation: 3 Months on / 2 weeks off

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) with 5–10 years of QC inspection experience in the Oil & Gas industry. Strong expertise in welding inspection, machine shop inspection, and pressure testing witnessing. Preferred certifications include API Q1/6A/7-1, CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, with working knowledge of ASME standards
✔ Perform in-process and final inspections for machined components and welded assemblies.
✔ Verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and approved procedures.
✔ Ensure adherence to SLB standards, API, ASME, and ISO requirements.
✔ Review and verify: Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), Welder Qualification Records (WQR)
✔ Conduct visual inspection of welds for fit-up, alignment, and workmanship.
Coordinate and review NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT) reports.
✔ Inspect machined components for: Dimensional accuracy (using micrometers, verniers, gauges), Surface finish and tolerances
✔ Verify material traceability and heat numbers.
✔ Review mill test certificates (MTCs) and ensure compliance with specifications.
✔ Witness and monitor: Hydrostatic and gas pressure tests
✔ Ensure calibration of pressure gauges and test equipment.
✔ Verify testing procedures, duration, pressure levels, and acceptance criteria.
✔ Record and validate test results in line with project requirements.
✔ Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
✔ Prepare: Inspection Reports, Non-Conformance Reports ( NCRs), Inspection Reports
✔ Ensure all inspection activities align with ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
✔ Support audits and client inspections when required.
